Qur’anic Study, Religious Practice: A Family’s Path to Al-Azhar

Qur’anic Study, Sincere Intention—A Family’s Path to Al-Azhar
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh,
"يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا “
"O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire…”
(Surah At‑Tahrim 66:6).
This is not a campaign for showing off. It is a family returning to its roots with humble, sincere intentions.
In shaa Allah, Mustafa Abdul‑Malik As‑Salafy Ibn Abdullah and his wife intend to study Arabic so they may read, understand, and live the Qur’an directly. Mustafa will enroll in the Arabic Preparatory Program at Al‑Azhar University in Cairo. His wife intends to study at Murkaz Al‑Furqan or Al Ibaanah Arabic Centre, both in Cairo, depending on visa coordination.
The aim is spiritual and practical: to remove ignorance from the self and household, to refine worship through correct recitation and comprehension, and to restore daily life around the guidance of the Book and the Sunnah. Better Arabic will reduce reliance on secondary translations, allow them to teach their children from primary sources, and enable clearer, grounded service to their community.
This journey is a family commitment to sincerity (ikhlaas), correction, and transmission. It is meant to change how they practice the religion, that knowledge transforms daily action and public conduct and character.
This campaign is facilitated by ™Reginald‑Kevin: Duhart, a nonprofit entity that created the campaign, the blog post, and the social media build-up, and is collecting donations on behalf of the family. Donors should consult their tax advisor about possible tax deductibility.
